馬德睿（Derrick Ma）在美國加州天普市（Temple City）長大。他在 13 歲時信主成為基督徒，並透過參與義工和短宣事工在當地教會事奉。在高中三年級時，他感到神的呼召回應全職事奉，並開始在母會阿凱迪亞華人浸信會（Arcadia Chinese Baptist Church）接受青年陳牧師 (Pastor Alex Chen）的指導與訓練。

他隨後考入加州浸會大學（California Baptist University）修讀應用神學學士學位，期間曾在阿凱迪亞華人浸信會及核桃市國語浸信會（First Chinese Baptist Church of Walnut）實習。2020 年畢業後，他進入美門神學院（Gateway Seminary）攻讀聖經研究道學碩士。在神學院就讀期間，他擔任了庫卡蒙格牧場聖約社區教會（Rancho Cucamonga Covenant Community Church）的青年牧師，並於 2025 年完成學業。

他喜歡行山、閱讀、玩桌遊、解謎以及挑戰密室逃脫。他最喜歡的經文是腓立比書 4:4：「你們要靠主常常喜樂。我再說，你們要喜樂！」。他最喜歡的聖經書卷則是創世記、約翰福音、腓立比書和以弗所書。他對青少年事工充滿熱誠，渴望造就並建立他人，使他們能夠活出神所賦予的生命旨意與目的。

Derrick Ma grew up in Temple City, California, USA. He became a Christian at the age of 13 and helped out at his local church through volunteering and missions work. He felt called to the ministry during his junior year of high school and began pursuing training at his local church, Arcadia Chinese Baptist Church, under his youth pastor Alex Chen.

He got into the Bachelor’s of Applied Theology program at the California Baptist University and interned at ACBC and First Chinese Baptist Church of Walnut. After he graduated in 2020, he went to Gateway Seminary to receive his Masters in Divinity in Biblical Studies. During his time there, he became the youth pastor for Rancho Cucamonga Covenant Community Church, and finished his studies in 2025.

Derrick enjoys going out on hikes, reading, playing board games and puzzles, and escape rooms. HIs favorite passage is Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” and his favorite books of the Bible are Genesis, John, Philippians, and Ephesians. He has a passion for the youth and desires to build up people so that they can live according to the purpose that God has given to them.
